
Catherine Dillon
Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer
Catherine Dillon serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of BankFive, where she provides enterprise-wide leadership over the Bank’s operations and execution of strategic priorities. In this role, she oversees a broad portfolio that includes operational performance and efficiency, enterprise risk management, technology and digital transformation, regulatory compliance, facilities management, marketing and communications, public relations, brand strategy, and customer experience. Catherine plays a critical role in translating strategy into action, ensuring consistency, scalability, and accountability across the organization.
With nearly 12 years at BankFive and more than 25 years of banking experience, Catherine brings a deep understanding of community banking and growth oriented leadership. Prior to being named COO, she served as BankFive's Senior Vice President of Marketing, Sales, and Business Development, and later as Executive Vice President and Chief Growth Officer, where she led initiatives that strengthened brand visibility, expanded market reach, and enhanced customer engagement. Before joining BankFive, Catherine held a senior leadership position at Fidelity Cooperative Bank and served as a Vice President at Santander Bank and an Assistant Vice President at Citizens Bank.
Catherine is a respected industry and community leader who actively represents BankFive at federal and state advocacy forums, including the annual ABA Washington Summit, where she champions legislative priorities on behalf of community banks. She currently serves on the ABA's Product Council and is a member of the National Board of Directors for Entrepreneurship for All (EforAll). She is also Chair of the One SouthCoast Chamber of Commerce, the third largest chamber of commerce in Massachusetts.
In 2025, Catherine received the Women & Allies in Banking Achievement Award from the Massachusetts Bankers Association. This award reflects her impact as a senior executive, advocate, and role model within the banking industry.
Catherine holds a bachelor’s and master's degree from Boston College, as well as a master’s degree from Emerson College.
