BankFive, a leading regional community bank, today announced the hiring of five new team members who will head a new Westport Mortgage Lending division, adding decades of experience to our lending team and expanding our lending services on the SouthCoast.
“In a challenging housing market, we are thrilled to welcome this experienced mortgage lending team to the BankFive family, and to expand our footprint and services further across Southeastern Massachusetts,” said BankFive President and CEO Anne P. Tangen. “With 60 plus years of combined mortgage experience, this new team will help us deepen relationships with our existing customers and forge new relationships with future customers.”
The five new team members are:
- Miguel DeSousa , Vice President, Mortgage Loan Officer. Miguel previously served as an Area Director at Hometown Mortgage. He is a resident of Mansfield, where he resides with his wife and two sons, and coaches local youth soccer in his spare time. Fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, Miguel has more than 20 years of mortgage experience and is dedicated to helping his clients find the home loan solutions that best fit their needs.
- Janice Camara, Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant. Janice has more than 35 years of total banking experience, 18 years in lending, previously working at Hometown Mortgage and Bank of America. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, trivia, traveling, baking, and going for walks with her dogs.
- Jeffrey DeFusco, Vice President, Mortgage Loan Officer. Jeffrey has 30 years of banking experience with 22 years working as a mortgage loan officer. He previously served as Area Director for Hometown Mortgage. He graduated from UMass Amherst and now lives in Westport where he volunteers as a youth baseball and basketball coach.
- Peter DeFusco, Vice President, Sales Manager. Peter has 26 years of banking and lending experience, most recently working as the Regional Director of Hometown Mortgage.
- Jessica Oliver, Vice President, Mortgage Loan Officer. Jessica previously served as a Mortgage Loan Officer at Hometown Mortgage. She has 15 years of lending experience. She graduated from Bryant University and now enjoys reading, cooking, barre, yoga and hiking in her free time.
The team will be located in our new Westport Lending Office located at 875 State Rd, Westport.
