BankFive Promotes Two Senior Employees to First Vice President

BankFive today announced the promotion of both Stephanie Primo-Simons, Consumer Lending Manager; and Larry Stanford, Senior Controller, to First Vice President. Both come into this senior leadership role with decades of community banking experience. 

“Stephanie and Larry have demonstrated exceptional financial expertise, leadership, and commitment to BankFive,” said Anne Tangen, BankFive President and CEO. “They are natural leaders with a shared goal — to use their banking expertise to best meet the needs of our customers and communities. We are proud to promote them to their expanded leadership roles.” 
 

Primo-Simons has worked at BankFive since 2000, initially serving as a Consumer Loan Sales Manager. Prior to this role, she served as a bank teller at BankFive and an Assistant Branch Manager at Beneficial Finance. In her new position as First Vice President and Consumer Lending Manager, she is responsible for the bank’s originations of home equity loans and consumer loans, which include automobile, boat, and heat loans, in addition to residential loan closing.

Stanford joined BankFive in May 2025 as a Senior Controller after working at a number of community banking institutions, including Blue Hills Bank, Lowell Five Bank, Envision Bank, and Colonial Federal Savings Bank. Stanford also worked in public accounting at Ernst & Young. In his new role at BankFive, Stanford is responsible for managing the accounting and financial reporting functions of the bank.

Both Primo-Simons and Stanford are based in BankFive’s Corporate Office in Fall River.
