BankFive, a mutual bank with 17 locations in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, today announced Marieliz Delgado as the new Branch Manager for the bank’s Acushnet Avenue Branch in New Bedford. With more than seven years of experience in the retail banking industry, Delgado has a strong background in bank management, customer service, and relationship management.
Delgado most recently served as a Manager for Citizens Bank, where she oversaw customer service operations, focusing on customer experience, team development, and operational excellence. Before that, she held positions with Sprint as an assistant manager, and MetroPCS as a manager, educating customers on phone updates and new technology.

Beyond her work in banking, Delgado is passionate about giving back to the community. She previously partnered with Fall River Public Schools to teach financial literacy courses. Delgado is a graduate of BMC Durfee High School and is currently enrolled in Business and Finance Management courses at Bristol Community College.
