BankFive announced today that it has hired Jennifer D. St. Pierre as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). She also has been named Senior Vice President and Treasurer. St. Pierre, who has 22 years of banking experience, is located at BankFive's Corporate Office in Fall River. 
In her new role, St. Pierre is responsible for overseeing the Finance and Accounting, Human Resources and Enterprise Risk and Compliance functions. She also has the responsibility of driving the development and implementation of the Bank's Strategic Plan and partnering with the senior management team and their business units to help them think proactively about budgeting, planning, product pricing, and balance sheet management.
St. Pierre is also responsible for managing directly, and through subordinate managers, the financial activity of the Bank, and for coordinating financial activities with other Bank functions/areas. She is also responsible for researching, developing, and implementing procedural changes and work flows to improve departmental productivity.
Prior to joining BankFive, St. Pierre was the Controller at Brookline Bancorp, Inc, a bank holding company with approximately $6.8 billion in assets that includes Brookline Bank, Bank Rhode Island, and First Ipswich Bank. She also previously worked as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at Admirals Bank, as an Inspection Specialist at private sector and non-profit Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, and held various audit roles at Ernst & Young, Shatswell, MacLeod and Co., and Healy & Healy.
St. Pierre, who is a certified public accountant (CPA) in the state of Massachusetts, is a member of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Salem State College.
