In the spirit of giving this holiday season, BankFive Foundation, a fund of the Community Foundation of Southeastern Massachusetts, has announced food pantry contributions totaling $13,000 to several non-profit organizations.
A $5,000 donation has been made to the Salvation Army of New Bedford to assist with the purchase of new shelving that can adequately store groceries for their food assistance program.
In addition, $1,000 donations have been made to each of the following organizations in support of their food pantries:
John Vasconcellos, President of the Community Foundation said, “BankFive embraces their role as an important philanthropic force for good in our community. These grants will have a significant impact in providing that most essential of needs, food to our neighbors most in need”.

- Citizens for Citizens Food Pantry, Fall River
